Man Assaults Clubgoer in Tel Aviv, Strikes Head with Glass Bottle
A 29-year-old resident of Rishon Lezion was indicted Tuesday for violently attacking another club patron in Tel Aviv. The incident occurred during the night of August 21 at a club on Mikve Israel Street. According to the indictment, the suspect initially punched the victim in the face following a dispute inside the club. After both were removed from the venue, the confrontation escalated outside, where the suspect struck the victim on the head with a glass bottle, causing a cut that required medical treatment.
Tel Aviv police officers from the Lev station in the Yarkon area responded to reports of the violent incident, launched an investigation, and arrested the suspect shortly afterward. His detention was extended over the weekend. The Tel Aviv District Prosecution filed charges against him for assault and causing injury with a weapon. They also requested that he remain in custody until the conclusion of legal proceedings.
