First Caravans Arrive at New Shomron Settlement Noa, Marking Major Resettlement Step

The first caravans arrived this morning at the new settlement of Noa, located south of Ganim and Kadim in northern Shomron. This marks a significant milestone in establishing a new community that will join the four settlements uprooted during the disengagement plan and now being rebuilt. Noa is the eighth settlement founded by the Shomron Regional Council in under a year, reflecting an unprecedented wave of settlement activity aimed at revitalizing northern Shomron.

Noa is designed to connect the isolated settlements of Ganim and Kadim, creating a contiguous settlement bloc. The arrival of caravans is a key phase in preparing the area for families who will form a new community in the heart of northern Shomron. This effort is part of the "Connection Plan," led by Shomron Council head Yossi Dagan in partnership with the Amana movement, to establish 19 new settlements replacing the four removed in the disengagement.

The initiative is supported by decisions from the Israeli security cabinet, led by Defense Minister Israel Katz and Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich. Yossi Dagan called the day historic, emphasizing that "instead of four uprooted settlements, we are building 19 new ones," and praised the partnership and pioneering families for their national and historic mission.

Future resident Hannah Landman expressed excitement about the caravans' arrival, saying it turns a long-held vision into reality. She highlighted the goal of building a vibrant community that strengthens Jewish settlement and strategic presence in the area.

The establishment of Noa is a central part of the broader effort to restore life and build a future for hundreds to thousands of families in northern Shomron, transforming what was once a dream into a growing reality.
