Preparations Begin for New Settlement Noa in Northern Samaria as Families Visit Site

The Shomron Regional Council and the Amana settlement organization have initiated preparations for establishing the new settlement of Noa in northern Samaria, pending government approval. For the first time, dozens of families designated to settle in Noa visited the site near the communities of Ganim and Kadim, which were evacuated during a previous disengagement and are planned to be rebuilt this summer. During their visit, the families held their initial meeting to discuss practical steps for the settlement's establishment.

Yossi Dagan, head of the Shomron Regional Council, addressed the families, emphasizing the historic significance of the day and the settlement's future role. He described Noa as a significant, large community with thousands of residents, educational institutions, and a strong communal life, serving as a central hub in northern Samaria. Dagan highlighted the return of Israelis to northern Samaria after 21 years of struggle, framing the settlement as an expression of Zionism and security for Israel.

Dagan also expressed gratitude to government ministers Israel Katz and Bezalel Smotrich, Amana and its secretary-general Ze'ev Haver (Zambish), the Settlement Division, Central Command, the Civil Administration, and all government bodies involved, as well as to the pioneering residents who are establishing the new settlements in northern Samaria. The rebuilding of Ganim and Kadim alongside Noa is part of a broader effort to renew Jewish presence in the region.
