Screenwriter Meni Assayag Declines Noam Party Propaganda Offer, Urges Right-Wing Unity Ahead of Elections

Israeli creator and screenwriter Meni Assayag revealed on Monday that he politely refused a request from the Noam party to promote and share its propaganda. Despite his refusal, Assayag expressed deep respect and admiration for Noam's leader Avi Maoz and the party itself, describing it as an important faction with worthy and principled members fighting courageously for Jewish identity in Israel.

Assayag explained that his primary consideration was the unity of the right-wing camp ahead of the upcoming elections. He stated, "I very much love Avi Maoz and greatly respect the Noam party," but emphasized that the future of the national camp and the Israeli people outweighed his personal discomfort in declining the request.

Beyond revealing his refusal, Assayag called on Noam and other small right-wing parties to join forces with stronger right-wing parties to enter the critical elections united and powerful. He warned against the possibility of the right-wing losing to the left, stressing, "It is absolutely forbidden to lose to the left in these elections! The people of Israel live."

Assayag’s statements highlight ongoing discussions within the Israeli right-wing about coalition-building and electoral strategy ahead of pivotal national elections.
