Noam Party Leader Avi Maoz Says Party Won't Run Without Chance to Pass Threshold

Avi Maoz, chairman of the Noam party and Knesset member, stated that his party will not participate in the upcoming elections if it concludes it cannot surpass the electoral threshold. Maoz revealed that he is currently working to broaden the party's support base and forge new alliances ahead of submitting the candidate lists for the Knesset. In an interview on Galei Yisrael radio, Maoz addressed questions about Noam's electoral strength and upcoming polls, promising to release detailed information when the time is right.

He emphasized that his current focus is on building connections with various groups and communities, stating, "There are entire constituencies I am speaking with, and more will join us before the lists are submitted." Maoz also sought to alleviate concerns that Noam running independently might split right-wing votes, clarifying that the party has never run when it believed it would fail to cross the threshold. "I believe I am the only one in the Knesset who has not wasted votes," he added.

The remarks come amid ongoing political maneuvering as parties prepare for the elections, with Maoz signaling a pragmatic approach to participation based on realistic assessments of electoral viability.
