Thousands Gather for Annual Commemoration of Shomrei Emunim Rebbe on Jerusalem's Mount of Olives

Last week, thousands of Jewish worshippers gathered to mark the yahrzeit (anniversary of death) of the Shomrei Emunim Rebbe, known as the author of 'Chukei Chaim,' at his gravesite atop the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem. On the day of the commemoration, many prayed at his tomb, seeking salvation for both the community and individuals.

To accommodate the large crowds, extensive logistical arrangements were made, including the erection of large shaded tents and air-conditioned marquees providing abundant refreshments, cold drinks, and hot meals throughout the day and night. A separate, expanded area was designated for women’s comfort.

Efficient transportation services operated with frequent organized shuttle buses departing from major ultra-Orthodox centers such as Jerusalem, Bnei Brak, and Beit Shemesh, ensuring safe and direct access to the holy site. Security forces and event marshals maintained order and safety throughout the night and day, managing the flow of worshippers ascending the mountain.
