Israel Bars Two Swedish MEPs From Entry Over Anti-Israel Activities
At the request of Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar and in accordance with Israeli entry laws, the Population and Immigration Authority has barred two Swedish Members of the European Parliament, Jonas Sjöstedt and Hanna Gadín, from entering Israel. The two politicians, affiliated with the Swedish Left Party, were scheduled to arrive in Israel overnight as part of a planned visit to the Palestinian Authority.
The decision follows their consistent activism against Israel over recent years, which includes public calls for international legal proceedings against Israeli individuals. Additionally, they have made false accusations against Israel, alleging genocide, deliberate starvation, and intentional harm to children and medical personnel. These actions prompted the Israeli authorities to prevent their entry to the country.
