Habib Haim Ben Aryeh Releases 'Song of Proverbs' Dedicated to Late Friend Yossi Biton

Four years ago, Israeli singer Habib Haim Ben Aryeh visited the Moshav Maslul with his family during the Sukkot holiday. There, he noticed a deck of Chabad proverbs cards scattered on the living room floor. Inspired, he began connecting the sayings into lyrics, creating a joyful, optimistic song titled "Song of Proverbs." By 11 p.m. that night, Ben Aryeh was composing the melody in the sukkah, capturing the tune on his phone. The lyrics feature Chabad proverbs such as "Joy breaks barriers," "The other is a mirror," and "One good deed is better than a thousand sighs," culminating in the chorus: "If you just think good, good will come to you." The music production was handled by Shiner (Efi Shiner), who gave the track a modern, lively sound.

Tragically, two years later, Yossi Biton, the friend who hosted Ben Aryeh during that Sukkot visit, died in a car accident on his way home from work. This loss transformed the song from a happy tune into a deeply personal memorial. Ben Aryeh now dedicates "Song of Proverbs" to Biton's memory, emphasizing themes of change, faith, and hope for improvement. The single follows Ben Aryeh's previous hit "V'tizrach," continuing his unique blend of hopeful messages with heartfelt music.

The release of "Song of Proverbs" coincides with a wave of new singles in the Jewish music scene, each carrying its own story. However, this song stands out as a reminder that even the most uplifting songs can hold profound memories and personal significance. The simple yet powerful refrain "If you just think good, good will come to you" gains a deeper resonance through its dedication.
