Knesset Committee Approves Immunity Request for Tally Gotliv
The Knesset Committee approved Tally Gotliv’s request for immunity from the indictment filed against her over revealing the name of a Shin Bet officer. The case now moves to the full Knesset, which will decide whether she will receive immunity.
At the committee hearing, Gotliv argued that the attorney general could have charged her with a security offense if possible, but did not. She said, "If Isman could have attributed a security offense to me, he would have done it, but he cannot." Gotliv also defended her decision to identify Bresler’s partner as a Shin Bet officer, saying she did so "for one purpose: to make clear to you that there was a revolt and a coup against the Prime Minister's head."
