McDonald's Employee Suspended After Anti-Semitic Incident in Brisbane
A McDonald's employee at the Cannon Hill branch in Brisbane, Australia, was suspended after being recorded making anti-Semitic remarks and shouting "Free Palestine" at two Jewish customers. The incident occurred late Tuesday night last week when the customers pointed out a missing hamburger in their order. One of the customers, Asaf, who requested his last name be withheld for security reasons, said the confrontation escalated after the employee became aggressive and asked about their origin. Upon learning Asaf was from Israel, she shouted "Oh yes, free Palestine" and made rhythmic chants. Asaf described the incident as "shocking." When he asked to speak with a manager, the situation worsened: staff refused a refund, accused them of lying about missing items, and the employee allegedly called them "baby killers" before demanding they leave. Asaf reported the incident to the police and was directed to contact the Australian Human Rights Commission for further action.
