Noam Party Adds Two Women Candidates From Settlements Ahead of Israeli Elections
The Noam Party, a right-wing political faction in Israel, continues to expand its candidate list ahead of the upcoming Knesset elections. Following recent additions of notable figures such as reserve Colonel Eliyahu Leibman, former head of the Kiryat Arba-Hebron council, and Shimon Tubul, deputy mayor of Beersheba, the party announced on Sunday the inclusion of two women candidates: Yiska Haimov and Liora Alon.
Party chairman Avi Maoz expressed enthusiasm about the new additions, highlighting their extensive experience in education, society, and settlement activities. He emphasized that their inclusion is part of Noam's strategy to broaden its base and restore Jewish identity and values to the center of public life.
Yiska Haimov, a resident of Shaarei Tikva, is a business and organizational consultant with over 30 years of experience in education and management. She has held leadership roles in religious community settlements and currently runs a business school for entrepreneurs. Notably, she is the sister of Shin Bet chief David Zini. Haimov stated her commitment to strengthening Israel’s education system and Jewish identity.
Liora Alon, wife of Aviram and mother of nine, holds degrees in psychology, education, and educational management. She has worked as a special education teacher, school network CEO, and advisor to Jerusalem’s mayor. Alon is active in social and public work and aims to bring grassroots voices to the Knesset, advocating for the public’s interests.
These developments reflect Noam’s ongoing efforts to position itself as a political home for voters seeking to emphasize Jewish heritage and values in Israeli governance.
