Pinechas Idan Accepts Netanyahu's Decision to Expel Him from Likud

Pinechas Idan, chairman of the Airport Authority workers' committee, announced on Sunday that he will not appeal Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's decision to expel him from the Likud party. In a letter to the Likud court chairman, Michael Kleiner, Idan stated he respects Netanyahu's ruling and acknowledged his family's over 50-year affiliation with the party. Despite accepting the expulsion, Idan reiterated his claim that he was not responsible for ordering the shutdown at Ben Gurion Airport, which had sparked controversy. He emphasized that he had called for a thorough investigation to identify who gave the directive to halt airport operations.
