Jonathan Pollard Joins Israeli Politics, Endorses Sharren Haskel Ahead of October Elections
Jonathan Pollard, the former American-Israeli spy, announced his entry into Israeli politics by joining the "Israel First" party, a new political platform founded by former Deputy Minister Sharren Haskel ahead of the October elections. The announcement was made in a joint statement near the Western Wall, where Pollard expressed his support for Haskel's leadership. He stated, "On October 7, I saw the country abandoned and betrayed. With you (Haskel), I hope there will be a new government dedicated to protecting the land and the people of Israel." Pollard also remarked that although he has known many Knesset members, since October 7, none have been willing to take responsibility until now.
