Rachmastrivka Rebbe Sends Peace Delegation to Karlin-Stolin Rebbe After Bar Mitzvah Venue Dispute

The Rachmastrivka Hasidic community is celebrating the bar mitzvah of the Rachmastrivka Rebbe's eldest grandson this evening, marking a significant event as it is the first bar mitzvah among his descendants. The celebration, originally planned to take place at the large Karlin-Stolin synagogue in Givat Ze'ev to accommodate thousands of Hasidim from Israel and abroad, was relocated to a large tent near the Slonim synagogue in the city due to pressure from extremist groups.

The Rachmastrivka Rebbe was not personally involved in the venue change, which was managed by community activists. To ease tensions caused by the move, the Rebbe sent a special delegation last Friday to the Karlin-Stolin Rebbe to apologize and seek reconciliation for canceling the event at his synagogue. The Karlin-Stolin Rebbe warmly received the delegation, expressed no offense, and emphasized his desire to support all Jews impartially.

The bar mitzvah celebration will take place tonight at 8:00 PM with thousands of Hasidim in attendance. A smaller family-only celebratory meal was held Saturday night. Notably, a month prior, the bar mitzvah boy performed the traditional laying of tefillin with his great-grandfather, the Rachmastrivka Rebbe, following the custom of the Tshernobyl Hasidic dynasty.
