Pedestrian Dies in Fatal Road Accident Near Netanya's Ha'ari Interchange

A man in his 20s was fatally injured in a pedestrian traffic accident on August 8, 2026, on Highway 2 southbound near the Ha'ari Interchange in Netanya. The incident was reported to emergency services at 23:19. Magen David Adom paramedics found the pedestrian unconscious with severe multi-system trauma and provided life-saving treatment at the scene before transporting him to the hospital in critical condition. Despite medical efforts, he was pronounced dead after a struggle to save his life. Traffic investigators from the Central District opened an inquiry into the circumstances of the crash.

Paramedics Igor Treskin, Maor Brantz, and Roee Gimpovich described finding the victim lying beside the road, unconscious and severely injured from being struck by a vehicle. They administered resuscitation and emergency care before hospital transfer. This fatality follows another deadly road accident reported just last weekend on Highway 471 near the Ono Interchange, where a 60-year-old motorcyclist died after a collision involving a motorcycle and a private car. In that case, emergency responders found the rider without pulse or breathing and, despite advanced resuscitation attempts, confirmed his death at the scene.
