IDF Seizes Debin in Southern Lebanon, Lebanese Reports Say
The Lebanese newspaper Nidaa Al Watan reported overnight that IDF forces entered the village of Debin, north of Marjeyoun in southern Lebanon, and are now holding it. According to the report, large Israeli forces, including tanks and armored vehicles, moved into the village after heavy artillery fire and airstrikes, and are now deployed throughout the area.
The same report said Lebanese Army troops had fully withdrawn from the area before the operation began. It added that the Israeli forces are expected to continue advancing north toward the village of Blat, about 1.5 kilometers north of Debin.
At the same time, the Lebanese channel LBCI said the IDF is nearing the outskirts of Nabatieh al-Fawqa. The medical rescue center there was forced to pull its ambulances back as the situation developed.
