Shalake Completes IDF Service After Big Brother Run
Sheli Almkays, better known as Shalake, has officially been discharged from the Israel Defense Forces today, ending a major chapter in her life. The former contestant from the previous season of Israel’s “Big Brother” announced the news to her followers on Monday morning with the customary video of cutting her army ID card.
Since leaving the Big Brother house, Shalake has become a social media personality, running Instagram and TikTok accounts with tens of thousands of followers. Like many reality TV alumni, she quickly built an online audience after the show.
Shalake had enlisted in the IDF before entering “Big Brother,” but she received a service deferment so she could take part in the reality program. About a week and a half after the season she appeared in ended, she returned to military service. She has now completed that service and moved on to civilian life.
