Family of Missing Girl Heymanot Kasao Launches Crowdfunding to Increase Reward

More than 900 days after nine-year-old Heymanot Kasao disappeared from a reception center in Safed in February 2024, her family has initiated a crowdfunding campaign to boost the reward for information leading to her discovery. The campaign, titled "Bringing Heymanot Home," was launched by the Association for Heymanot and aims to finance ongoing search efforts, increase the monetary reward, and sustain public advocacy for her return.

Heymanot's father, Kasao, emphasized the family's commitment to raising the reward to one million shekels, stating, "We promised one million shekels to whoever finds her. We will gather the money from the public, from the people." He also appealed directly to anyone who might be holding information or even Heymanot herself, urging them to come forward confidentially and receive the reward.

The family has maintained a persistent public campaign demanding expanded efforts to locate Heymanot since her disappearance. In an interview with Maariv, her father also made a moral appeal to anyone withholding information, asking them to consider their conscience and what they would say when facing divine judgment. The crowdfunding page details that the funds will support the continuation of searches and the public struggle to find Heymanot.
