Israeli Authorities Thwart Smuggling of Nearly 90 Tons of Waste to Illegal Palestinian Sites
The Israeli Civil Administration, in coordination with the Ministry of Environmental Protection, prevented four attempts to smuggle approximately 90 tons of waste into unauthorized dumping sites in the West Bank over the past day. The trucks carrying the waste were intercepted during targeted enforcement operations at various checkpoints across Judea and Samaria. In the morning, a truck transporting construction waste was caught at the Mizmoriyah crossing. Subsequently, three additional trucks were seized carrying iron waste, electronic waste, and more construction debris. These actions aim to curb illegal waste disposal in Palestinian Authority territories and protect the environment.
