Israeli Authorities Seize Nearly 90 Tons of Waste Bound for Illegal Dumping in West Bank

Israeli Civil Administration officials intercepted four trucks carrying approximately 90 tons of waste destined for unauthorized dumping sites in the West Bank. The trucks were stopped at various checkpoints across Judea and Samaria, including the Mizmoriyah, Tunnels, and A-Za'im crossings. The seized waste included construction debris, scrap metal, and electronic waste. All vehicles and their cargo were transferred to a confiscation yard in Mizmoriyah for further inspection and handling.

The Civil Administration stated that these smuggling attempts are part of a broader issue involving illegal waste disposal in Palestinian Authority territories, which poses significant environmental hazards and pollution risks. The operation took place within the last 24 hours as part of ongoing efforts to prevent environmental damage in the region.
