Google Pixel 11 Introduces Custom Vibration Patterns for Call and Notification Identification
Google's Pixel 11 series has launched a new feature allowing users to assign distinct vibration patterns for calls, notifications, and specific contacts. Within the device's sound settings, a new Vibration option appears alongside ringtone selection, offering patterns such as Heartbeat and Gears among others. Users can set separate vibration patterns for notifications, enabling differentiation between calls, messages, or other alerts even when the phone is silent or in a pocket. The most practical aspect is found in Google Contacts, where users can assign unique vibration patterns to individual contacts, allowing identification of callers without looking at the screen. Currently, this feature is exclusive to the Pixel 11 series, and Google has not confirmed whether it will be extended to older Pixel models in future updates.
