Government to Fund Food and Clothing for Hilltop Youth at NIS 5.5 Million
Israel’s government will finance food and clothing for youths living in outposts and hilltop farms in the West Bank as part of a broader program to prevent violence in Judea and Samaria through educational measures, according to a document obtained by ynet from the Ministry of Settlement and National Missions.
The ministry, headed by Minister Orit Strock, will transfer the money to regional councils. Under the funding procedure, each boy will receive the equivalent of 50 shekels a day for food and clothing.
The support is scheduled to run for about seven months, from June through the end of the year. The total budget for the plan is about 5.5 million shekels.
