Motorcyclist Dies in Crash Near Ono Interchange on Road 471
On August 9, 2026, a motorcyclist in his 60s died in a traffic accident on Road 471 near the Ono interchange. The collision involved a motorcycle and a private vehicle. Magen David Adom (MDA) teams arrived at the scene and performed advanced resuscitation efforts on the rider, who was found without pulse or breathing and suffered severe multi-system trauma. Despite their efforts, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
Traffic investigators from the Central District police arrived to examine the crash site and have opened an investigation into the circumstances leading to the collision. At the time of the police statement, the identity of the motorcyclist had not yet been released. Paramedics Hodaya Ran, Gefen Osishkin, and senior MDA motorcycle unit medics Netanel Engel and Eyal Atiya reported that the rider was found lying on the road with critical injuries and no vital signs, and that their advanced medical treatment was ultimately unsuccessful.
The police continue to collect evidence and investigate the cause of the accident. This incident follows another fatal traffic accident on August 9 involving a man in his 50s on Road 4 near Pardesiya.
