16-Year-Old From Beitar Illit Found Safe After Weeks-Long Search

Shmuel Rahamim Totian, a 16-year-old resident of Beitar Illit, was found safe and returned home after being missing for several weeks. Totian disappeared on the evening of July 18, leaving the "Beit Hane'ar" boarding school in Ein Vered and not returning. Following his disappearance, the Etzion police station launched a search and classified him as a runaway.

On July 23, the police publicly requested assistance in locating Totian, sharing his photo and description to gather any information about his whereabouts. A police source told C14 that the disappearance was voluntary, and during the search, authorities conducted extensive efforts across multiple locations in Israel to trace his route and contacted his acquaintances to persuade him to return.

The search concluded late Wednesday night (between Wednesday and Thursday) when Totian was located in good health. The police expressed gratitude to everyone who helped in the search and confirmed that "everything is fine."
