Satmar Rebbe Leads Celebrations at New Building Ceremony and Summer Camps in New York
This week, the Satmar Rebbe visited the Hasidic summer camps in Neponsit, New York, where he honored the cornerstone laying ceremony for the new "Shefa Yoel" building, which will expand the camp's facilities. The building project is funded by philanthropist Rabbi Yoel Landa, who purchased the naming rights in memory of the previous Satmar Rebbe, known as the "Yoel Moshe." Following the concrete pouring and cornerstone placement, the Rebbe enthusiastically danced with donors and builders.
Later in the day, the Rebbe made a special visit to the camp's children, where thousands of boys greeted him on the grass, singing emotional and awakening songs. He also visited the girls' camp, delivering sacred teachings emphasizing the importance of modesty and pure education.
The series of events concluded with a festive "L'Chaim" party attended by community donors and supporters, during which the Rebbe offered blessings for success and prosperity in their endeavors.
