Naftali Bennett Highlights AI as Future Security Priority Over Nuclear Weapons
Naftali Bennett, chairman of the "Together" party, outlined his vision for Israel's security at a recent party conference. He emphasized that in the near future, artificial intelligence capabilities will surpass even nuclear weapons in strategic importance. Bennett identified four flawed security concepts he intends to reform in the next government. These include reversing the current northern front policy so that if Hezbollah attacks Israel, Israel would retaliate against Iran. He also proposed designating Qatar as an enemy state and removing Turkey and Qatar from Gaza, replacing them with Egypt while maintaining operational freedom in Gaza. Additionally, Bennett called for redefining the threat of illegal weapons at Israel's borders as a security issue rather than a criminal one.
