Naftali Bennett Calls Illegal Weapons in South Israel a National Security Threat

Naftali Bennett, chairman of the Yachad party, addressed the issue of governance and security in southern Israel during a visit to the community of Karmit in the Negev. He emphasized that resolving the problem requires multiple actions but must start with a decisive leadership decision to stop treating illegal weapons as a criminal issue. Instead, Bennett argued, these weapons should be classified as a national security threat and terrorism. He criticized the current government for still viewing the matter through a criminal lens, calling it "captive to a misconception." Bennett concluded by promising that security would soon be restored to Israel and that together they would fix the situation.
