Israeli Civil Administration Evacuates and Demolishes Homes at Givat Ora Near Ariel

On Wednesday night, Israeli police forces, accompanied by Civil Administration inspectors and heavy machinery, raided the outpost known as Givat Ora near the city of Ariel. The operation began with the demolition of a yeshiva dormitory and a sheep pen, followed by the evacuation of families residing there. Authorities surrounded the homes of two families and ordered them to evacuate within minutes. Despite requests from the women of the families for additional time to pack essential belongings such as children's clothing and personal items, the evacuation officer denied the extension. Subsequently, the homes were demolished along with their contents, including furniture, sacred books, clothing, and food supplies.

Residents of the outpost described Givat Ora as a strategically important settlement point located in Area B of the West Bank. They stated that its purpose is to penetrate the "Arura bloc," a large area extending from the Arab city of Salfit to Ramallah and Jerusalem, designated as Area A where the Palestinian Authority exercises full control without Jewish presence. According to the residents, the outpost's existence challenges the establishment of a de facto Palestinian state in the area.
