Senior Israeli Police Officer Suspended but Continues Misusing Authority Amid Investigation
Alona Shoshan, head of Human Resources at the Israel Police, has been on a two-month forced suspension due to allegations linked to associates of Itamar Ben-Gvir. Despite her suspension, evidence has emerged indicating that Shoshan continued to exploit privileges reserved for senior police officials, which is prohibited under police regulations.
Last week, Shoshan requested the police commissioner, Danni Levi, to reinstate her and prevent her from handling disciplinary matters, but Levi refused, prompting Shoshan's anger. She now faces potential involvement in a new related case.
Shoshan is suspected of harassment and witness tampering, as well as evidence obstruction and concealment, in connection with the investigation into Ben-Gvir's associates. The Israel Police stated that the matter has been forwarded to the appropriate internal authorities for further examination.
