IDF Digital Unit Launches Dedicated Facility for Haredi Soldiers in Central Command
The IDF's Digital Communication Unit 382, part of the Central Command's Communication Brigade, inaugurated a dedicated facility for Haredi soldiers on Monday. The new space aims to provide an environment tailored to the needs of Haredi soldiers while integrating them into the unit's professional and operational activities. The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Central Command Communication Brigade commander, unit commanders, representatives from the Haredi sector in the Cyber Defense and Communication Branch, Yoav program managers, and soldiers soon to join the unit.
The facility includes a separate analytical laboratory for the soldiers to use in their duties. Currently, dozens of Haredi soldiers serve in the unit, mainly in system technician roles, with dozens more expected to join soon as graduates of the Yoav program. Lieutenant Colonel A, commander of Unit 382, emphasized the importance of integrating quality soldiers into the technological array, stating, "Every quality soldier who joins the technological array strengthens our ability to fulfill the mission." He added that the new facility will allow Haredi soldiers to serve in an environment suited to their needs and be an integral part of the unit's operational work.
