Outgoing Maglan commander reveals Beaufort injury after two years of fighting
Lt. Col. B, the outgoing commander of the Maglan commando unit, is ending his post after two years of fighting on multiple fronts and leaving the elite unit. In an interview with Channel 13, he described how the unit dealt with Hezbollah’s drone threat during the war.
He also revealed for the first time that he was wounded at Beaufort, saying, “I was under the rubble.” The interview comes as he steps down from command after a period defined by combat across all sectors.
B said one moment from October 7 remains unforgettable for him. He recalled the instant he understood the scale of the Hamas attack, saying, “It dawned on me, when they told me they had been abducted.”
