Man in Hatzor HaGlilit Charged with Assaulting Eritrean Refugee with Glass Bottle
A 41-year-old resident of Hatzor HaGlilit has been charged with assaulting an Eritrean refugee by striking him on the head with a broken glass bottle during an argument. The incident occurred on August 10 in Hatzor HaGlilit. Police responded to a report and found the victim with visible injuries. According to the investigation, the suspect attacked the victim after the latter allegedly touched his hand. The full circumstances of the event remain unclear. The suspect was identified and arrested at his home, with his detention extended multiple times by the Nof HaGalil Magistrate's Court. Following the investigation, the Kiryat Shmona prosecution filed charges and requested that the suspect remain in custody until the end of legal proceedings.
