Israeli military and police forces conducted a raid in the village of Kalil near Nablus, uncovering an M16 rifle, hundreds of rounds of ammunition, 11 magazines, and more than 100,000 shekels in cash. The operation was based on intelligence provided by the Judea and Samaria police district. Soldiers from the Shomron Brigade, guided by Ariel police officers, searched the house suspected of storing the weapons and cash.
Two local residents were arrested at the scene and taken to Ariel police station for interrogation. Authorities are investigating the origins of the weapons and money, as well as the circumstances of their possession and any potential links to criminal or security-related activities. The discovery highlights ongoing security efforts in the West Bank to prevent illegal arms possession and related offenses.
