Israeli Official Says Hamas Must Surrender Weapons for Gaza Reconstruction Under US Supervision

During a meeting with representatives of the Peace Council and US envoy Jared Kushner, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stipulated that the first step in Gaza's reconstruction must be the surrender and destruction of Hamas' weapons. These arms are to be handed over to the commander of the International Stabilization Force (ISF) in Gaza, General Jasper Jeffers, under American oversight.
