Israeli Startup Attribute Acquired by DoiT for $65 Million
DoiT, an Israeli-American cloud cost management company, has acquired the Israeli startup Attribute for an estimated $65 million. Attribute, founded in 2023 by former Unit 81 veterans Yitzhak Zimmerman (CEO) and Liad Trop (CTO), developed AI Tokenomics, a solution that monitors real-time AI and cloud usage costs by team, product, or client. The startup employs 30 people and had raised approximately $13.5 million in seed funding from Israeli investors including Mensch Capital and HarelTech.
This acquisition marks DoiT's fifth purchase in under two years, following previous acquisitions such as PerfectScale, Live Diagrams, Cloudwise, and SELECT, totaling around $200 million. DoiT, founded in 2011 by Vadim Solovey and Yoav Tosiah-Cohen, serves over 4,500 customers worldwide, including Spotify, Booking.com, and FIFA, helping them optimize cloud expenses across platforms like Oracle, AWS, Google, and Microsoft Azure.
Yitzhak Zimmerman highlighted the growing challenge organizations face in tracking AI and cloud expenditures, noting that monthly AI spending is expected to triple within the next year. He also cited a survey where only 15% of 500 executives could calculate AI ROI, with many experiencing significant budget overruns due to lack of visibility. DoiT CEO Vadim Solovey described the acquisition as a strategic move to enhance their Cloud Intelligence platform and expand FinOps solutions globally, emphasizing the synergy with Attribute’s technology and Israeli roots.
DoiT employs around 650 people globally, including development and sales teams in Israel, and maintains strategic partnerships with AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure.
