DoiT Acquires Israeli AI Cloud Cost Startup Attribute for $65 Million
DoiT, a cloud cost management company, has acquired the Israeli startup Attribute for approximately $65 million. Attribute, founded in 2023 by former Unit 81 veterans Yitzhak Zimmerman (CEO) and Lielad Trop (CTO), developed a solution that precisely measures AI and cloud expenses for organizations. Their technology analyzes real-time usage of tokens, models, and shared cloud resources, breaking down costs by team, product, feature, agent, or client.
Attribute raised about $13.5 million in seed funding from leading Israeli venture capital firms including Mensch Capital, SCapital, HarelTech, and IBI. DoiT, a unicorn company founded in Israel in 2011 by Vadim Solovey (CEO) and Yoav Tosiah-Cohen, is headquartered in Santa Clara, California, and serves over 4,500 customers across 27 countries, including Spotify, Booking.com, Akamai, FIFA, and others.
This acquisition is part of DoiT's recent expansion, following investments of around $200 million in the past two years and previous acquisitions such as PerfectScale, Live Diagrams, Cloudwise, and SELECT. Zimmerman stated that Attribute’s solution integrates well with DoiT’s portfolio and addresses a critical gap, as many organizations cannot accurately track AI and cloud spending, which is rapidly increasing. Data from DoiT indicates monthly AI expenses are expected to triple within the next year.
Vadim Solovey emphasized that the acquisition aligns with DoiT’s strategy to provide full transparency and control over cloud and AI expenditures. He highlighted that Attribute’s technology complements DoiT’s Cloud Intelligence platform and will deliver significant value to customers worldwide. The deal also brings a talented and innovative team to DoiT, reinforcing its commitment to advanced FinOps solutions and global innovation.
