Jerusalem Police Launch Major Night Operation Targeting Dangerous Driving and Noise Violations

The Jerusalem Police conducted an extensive nighttime enforcement operation focused on combating reckless driving and excessive noise disturbances across the city. During the weekend operation, officers from the Oz station inspected 58 vehicles, including 18 motorcycles, issuing dozens of fines for traffic violations and illegal vehicle modifications that cause excessive noise.

Among the notable incidents, a motorcyclist was detained for riding without a proper license, resulting in his motorcycle being impounded for 60 days and a summons for court. Another driver was caught speeding at 123 km/h within city limits; his license was immediately suspended for 30 days, and he was summoned to court.

Police released footage showing the high-speed violation and a motorcyclist recording himself while riding, which led to a heavy fine and court summons. Officers stressed the severity of the offenses, highlighting the risks posed to both the offenders and other road users. The police affirmed that such rigorous enforcement efforts will continue to ensure the safety of Jerusalem residents and road users.
