Former Hostages Forum Chief Ronen Tzur Announces Bid in Democrats Primary
Communications adviser Ronen Tzur, formerly the head of the Hostages and Missing Families Forum, announced on Tuesday night that he will run in the Democrats party primary. He made the declaration at a campaign event in Tel Aviv.
Tzur also served as an adviser to Benny Gantz in 2019. In announcing his candidacy, he said: "I know how to beat them. I know how to defeat them. I know how to answer them in their own language. I know all the tricks and ruses, they are afraid of me, so I will run and ask for your trust."
The announcement marks Tzur's entry into party politics after his public role representing families of hostages and missing Israelis. He did not give further details in the brief report about the timing of the primary or his campaign platform.
