Hapoel Be'er Sheva/Dimona is in advanced negotiations to sign forward Noam Avivi as their first acquisition for the upcoming basketball season. The team confirmed earlier on August 16, 2026, that they will compete in the Israeli Basketball Premier League this season. Avivi, 27 years old and 2.05 meters tall, is also being pursued by Bnei Herzliya.
Avivi, originally from Givatayim, began his career with Bnei Herzliya and has since played for several teams including Hapoel Kfar Saba, Maccabi Rishon LeZion, Gilboa/Galil, Hapoel Eilat, and Hapoel Afula, where he spent two seasons. Last season, he started with Ironi Nes Ziona before transferring mid-season to Hapoel Galil Elyon, finishing the year there. Over his career in the Premier League, Avivi has averaged 5.1 points and 2.7 rebounds in about 15 minutes per game.
