Israeli Forces Kill Senior Hezbollah Commander in South Lebanon Strike

Israeli military forces killed Abu Hassan Alaa, a senior commander in Hezbollah's Badr unit, during an operation in the Deir al-Zahrani area on Saturday. The strike was carried out in response to a recent Hezbollah attack against Israeli forces operating in the security zone. Abu Hassan Alaa was involved in orchestrating multiple terror attacks against Israeli troops, including the deployment of explosive drones targeting IDF forces in southern Lebanon. Over recent years, he commanded several combat sectors against both Israeli soldiers and civilians.

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) stated that Alaa's elimination significantly disrupts the operational capabilities of Hezbollah's Badr unit. This killing follows the recent assassination of Ali Samir Al-Hajj Hassan, a battalion commander in Hezbollah's Radwan Force, who was killed at his base in Ansar. The IDF emphasized its commitment to continue neutralizing threats and preventing Hezbollah from harming Israeli civilians and military personnel.
