Belz Hasidim Sing Spanish Melody of 'Hamdil' During Selichot Prayers

On the first Saturday night of the Hebrew month of Elul, Eastern Jewish communities begin reciting Selichot prayers. A special video captures the Belz Hasidim at the sacred courtyard of the Belz Rebbe, where after the Havdalah ceremony, the Hasidim spontaneously sang the "Hamdil" prayer to the Spanish melody of "Adon HaSelichot." The Rebbe of Belz himself led the singing of "Hamdil" in the tune known as "Chatanu Lefanecha."
