Rachel Goldberg Revives Musical Evening Nearly Two Years After Rabbi Avi Goldberg's Death

Rachel Goldberg has revived the traditional musical evening at the Goldberg family home after nearly two years. Rabbi Avi Goldberg, z"l, and his wife Rachel, both musicians, used to host these gatherings with family and friends. Since Rabbi Avi was killed in combat in Lebanon on Shabbat Bereishit 5785 (early 2025), Rachel had not organized such events. This past Saturday, in honor of the month of Elul, Rachel and her children led the first musical evening since his passing. A video from the event features participants singing and playing "Gam Ki Elech," a song composed by Yossi Hershkovitz, z"l, the head of Pelech School who was killed in northern Gaza about two and a half years ago.
