Golani Brigade's 25 Soldiers Hold Off Hundreds of Militants in Kisufim Battle Revealed
A previously undisclosed account of a fierce battle involving the Golani Brigade's Company B, led by Captain Ido Yitzhaki, has been revealed by i24NEWS. On October 7, 25 Golani soldiers faced off against hundreds of militants attacking multiple points near the Kisufim area. Despite being heavily outnumbered and operating under harsh conditions, the soldiers engaged in close-range combat for hours, coordinating mutual cover and making critical decisions under fire.
The platoon suffered eight fatalities but succeeded in halting the militants' advance and played a key role in protecting the nearby Kisufim kibbutz. The report includes, for the first time, radio communications from the intense hours of fighting, as well as footage from security cameras and observation command centers. Survivors of the battle recounted the intense struggle of the small force against overwhelming numbers.
This detailed exposure sheds light on the bravery and tactical resilience of the Golani soldiers during a pivotal moment in the conflict that had remained largely unreported until now.
