Israeli swimmer Anastasia Gorbenko experienced a disappointing result in the 200-meter individual medley final at the European Swimming Championships held in Paris. Two years after winning gold in this event, Gorbenko finished seventh with a time of 2:10.70, well off the podium. She had been among the top three competitors until the final lap of the race. Additionally, in the 50-meter breaststroke semifinal, Gorbenko placed 16th and last with a time of 32.50 seconds, failing to advance further.
