Jabari Parker Continues Training Without Contract at Partizan Belgrade

Partizan Belgrade is preparing for the upcoming season under coach Joan Peñarroya, who previously coached Barcelona. Forward Jabari Parker, who joined the team last season but struggled to make a significant impact, continues to train with the team despite not having a contract for the new season. Serbian media report that the club is cautious about handling Parker's situation differently from the case of Iffe Lundberg at Maccabi Tel Aviv, where Lundberg trained separately in Denmark while still receiving payment. Partizan aims to avoid a similar scenario by keeping Parker training with the team until a resolution is found. Although Peñarroya coached Parker before, he does not plan to include him in the team this season, but it is not ruled out that Parker might eventually get a chance if he continues training regularly. Last season, Parker averaged 7.7 points per game with shooting percentages of 44.9% from the field and 29.3% from three-point range in about 19 minutes per game. He has not played since January 9, when Partizan suffered a heavy defeat to Barcelona, and was loaned to Joventut Badalona near the end of the season.
