Jabari Parker Continues Training Without Contract at Partizan Belgrade

Partizan Belgrade is preparing for the upcoming basketball season under coach Joan Penarroya, who previously coached in Barcelona. Forward Jabari Parker, who joined the team last season but struggled to make a significant impact, is currently training with Partizan despite not having a contract for the new season. Serbian media reports indicate the club is cautious about handling Parker's situation differently than the case of Iffe Lundberg at Maccabi Tel Aviv, where the player trained separately while still receiving payment. Partizan intends to keep Parker training with the team until a resolution is found. Although Penarroya coached Parker before, he does not plan to include him in the season roster, but it remains possible Parker could get playing time if he continues training regularly. Last season, Parker averaged 7.7 points per game with shooting percentages of 44.9% from the field and 29.3% from three-point range, playing about 19 minutes per game. He has not played since January 9, when Partizan suffered a heavy loss to Barcelona, and was loaned to Joventut Badalona toward the end of the season.
