Yigal Brand Withdraws from Likud Primaries Citing Reserve Duty Priorities

Yigal Brand, CEO of the World Leadership of Beitar and CEO of the Zionist Council, announced on Friday that he has withdrawn his candidacy from the Likud party primaries. Brand made the announcement in a post from southern Lebanon, where he is currently serving in reserve duty. He explained that his decision was driven by a need to focus on his military service and public work, stating, "There are currently things that are important to focus on, in the reserves and public activity." Brand, a retired lieutenant colonel, expressed gratitude to those who encouraged and supported his potential candidacy. Despite withdrawing from the primaries, he affirmed his commitment to continue his public engagement and indicated that significant challenges and tasks remain ahead.
