Israel’s Four Health Funds Unite for Annual 'Chesed B’Yisrael' Medical Conference at Ariel University
Israel’s four major health funds, Clalit, Maccabi, Meuhedet, and Leumit, will jointly participate in the sixth annual medical conference of the "Chesed B’Yisrael" community. The event is scheduled for Thursday, September 14, 2023 (21 Elul 5783), at Ariel University near its medical center. This collaboration reflects the year-round partnership among health funds, medical centers, and charitable organizations within the community, which supports tens of thousands of people seeking medical assistance.
The "Chesed B’Yisrael" community includes representatives from all four health funds, Israeli medical centers, and charitable and medical organizations worldwide. Their ongoing cooperation facilitates sharing information, overcoming bureaucratic obstacles, and assisting with complex medical cases. This unique collaboration will be highlighted at the conference, alongside participation from pharmaceutical companies, medical technology firms, and other health organizations.
Ariel University will host the conference and showcase its adjacent medical center’s services. University President Prof. Ehud Grossman will open the event with remarks to the hundreds of attendees. The conference program includes lectures and panels on diverse medical and health topics, innovations in medical technology, health insurance, and patient rights.
A new feature this year is a professional exhibition area where health organizations, pharmaceutical companies, and technology innovators will present their latest products and services. Notably, United Hatzalah will demonstrate its drone unit’s advanced capabilities in emergency response, marking its first presentation at the conference.
Founded in 2014 as a volunteer platform connecting medical and charitable bodies in Israel and abroad, the "Chesed B’Yisrael" community now has nearly 500 members. Its activities include medical consulting, equipment lending, assistance with overseas treatments, and reducing bureaucratic barriers. The annual conference serves as a key professional and networking event for members who collaborate throughout the year to provide medical aid and support to patients and families.
