Azrieli and Assuta Ashdod Strengthen Medical Collaboration to Improve Patient Care in Southern Israel

This week, Assuta Ashdod Public Hospital hosted Moshe Harash, director of the medical advisory division at the nonprofit organization Ezra Mitzion, for a professional meeting focused on deepening cooperation between the two entities. The meeting included Assuta Ashdod's CEO Dr. Galit Kaufman, medical director Dr. Hagit Sarvagil-Maman, deputy medical director Dr. Eliad Aviram, department heads, and unit managers. Discussions centered on expanding joint services to provide faster, more efficient patient referrals and ensuring continuous, high-quality care for patients needing medical advice and specialist connections.

During the visit, Harash toured Assuta Ashdod’s radiotherapy institute, led by Dr. Eli Sapir, which is among Israel’s most advanced and annually treats thousands of oncology patients from southern Israel, allowing them to receive cutting-edge cancer care close to home. Ezra Mitzion operates one of Israel’s largest medical advisory and guidance networks, assisting thousands of patients and families yearly with diagnosis, second opinions, treatment coordination, and specialist referrals nationwide.

Dr. Kaufman emphasized that the partnership reflects a shared patient-centered approach, stating, "When hospital teams and medical guidance staff collaborate, patients receive faster, more accurate, and professional responses along with seamless care throughout their treatment journey."
