Yossi Farienti Releases New Prayer Single 'Kadsheinu' Ahead of High Holidays
Yossi Farienti, a musician and prayer leader from Gateshead, England, has released a new single titled 'Kadsheinu,' a musical rendition of a well-known prayer. The release coincides with the period leading up to the Jewish High Holidays, Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, aiming to deepen the spiritual connection of the Jewish people through music. The prayer's lyrics, which ask for sanctification through commandments, a share in the Torah, joy in salvation, and purity of heart, are given fresh musical life by Farienti's authentic and heartfelt composition.
Unlike many planned releases, 'Kadsheinu' emerged organically during the holiday of Shavuot (the Giving of the Torah), symbolizing the deep spiritual message behind the song. Farienti, who had composed many melodies over the years but refrained from sharing them publicly, chose this moment to connect the community through a shared prayer experience. The production was led by renowned Hasidic music producer Yanki Cohen, who also handled the arrangement and mixing, blending traditional elements with a modern, clean sound.
The single features piano by Achia Asher Cohen Aloro and guitar by Noam Burg, known as Hargol, adding emotional depth and atmosphere. The accompanying music video was edited by Miri Tenenold, and the cover design was created by Graphic - Nadav, both contributing to a professional and cohesive presentation. Farienti’s decision to release 'Kadsheinu' now reflects a desire to offer a spiritual tool for unity and elevation during a challenging time for the Torah world.
